CPSC 815 Project 5 Army Compositing (Extra Credit)

Project 5 Army Compositing (Extra Credit)

1. Use RotoPaint to catch the army in different material sequences.
2. Use Transform to put the army in proper positions.
3. Use Merge to composite the final sequence.

CPSC 815 Project 4 Compositing Render Passes

Project 4 Compositing Render Passes

1. The order of each element appearing in the scene is considered and has been handled.
2. There's something wrong with the channels of these source files, so I use Shuffle nodes to process this.
3. Steam is not shown as reality and I use a Retime node to adjust the input range of steam file.
4. Some details about the color and others are processed with colorspace(or ColorCorrect).
5.  Use Card, Camera and other related nodes to construct the 3D scene to make the final video seems better.

CPSC 815 Project 3 Tracking

Project 3-1 Stabilization

I tracked four corners of the footage to try to make it stable. Then I used the ColorCorrect to adjust contrast and gamma to make the footage seems no difference from the source footage. The footage is still not so stable so I chose stabilize in Tracker and used Crop to clear black frames. Finally, the footage seems smoother. And the final video is like this.

Project 3-2 Tracking

I tracked two corners of the ski lift and make the foreground element match the moving of trackers. It is not so easy. When two ski lifts cross, the tracker will be terribly affected. So I adjust some frames of the tracker by myself and used Transform to decrease the shaking of foreground element.

The background is the given movie clip from THE AVENGERS. This movie clip shows that Thor and Hulk fight with enemies. Thor is the GOD of thunder so I put a lighting effect on his hammer to make his every hit seem more powerful. But his hammer moves so fast in the movie, actually I only can track his hammer frame by frame to keep the lighting effect stable on his hammer. And the primatte of the lighting is not so clean although I have tried a lot. And this time, his fast moving action makes this defect not so obvious. So this is the final work.

CPSC 815 Project 2 Simple Compositing with Sequences

Project 2-1 CG on LIVE(movie)

This movie is Painted Skin. And this scene is telling that the warrior do not want to be confused by his eyes, so he used a sword to make his own eyes broken. Then the evil spirit living in his body is released and he get his renascence. He can do the judgement only by himself. I put a devil into the scene as the foreground element to make it clearer.

Project 2-2 LIVE on CG

This scene comes from a game THE ELDER SCROLLS 5: SKYRIM. And I make myself walk by the scene but disappear for a short time. What I mean is it's like some magic show, just disappear and suddenly appear somewhere else again.

This one is simple. My friend Encen Zhou walked by and lost his notebook. I found the notebook on the floor and tried to find whom the owner is. The foreground was shot in front of green screen of DPA lab and the background is the familiar hallway in MC ADAM HALL.

CPSC 815 Project1 Image Compositing

Project1 Image Compositing

Project1-1 Live on Live

It's a nice snowfield photograph I found on the Internet. And I wonder how it would be wonderful if this is a golf course. So I put a man in the perfect ice golf course.

I used MAYA to create the aerolite, however, I called this strange stone aerolite. Then, of course, I put it into the background of outer space. The background comes from a website about universe. Finally, after some other work like adjusting lighting or somewhat, the image is like this.

Project1-3 Live on CG

This scene is constructed by iCEnhancer 2.0 mode in a game. I got this image on the GAMERSKY's website. And the Batman is a model, it's really a cool model, isn't it? As the first sight of the car in the image, I thought it will be matched will with Batman. So this work comes out.
